CBSE Capacity Building Programs
BCM School, Chandigarh Road, Sector 32A, Ludhiana, has successfully concluded a comprehensive series of CBSE Capacity Building Programs in early June, reinforcing its dedication to continuous professional development and innovative pedagogical practices for educators.
The series began with a two-day workshop on "Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices" (June 2-3, 2025). This program, inaugurated by Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria, focused on enhancing teachers' skills in effective teaching and assessment techniques. It was led by Ms. Vandana Chopra (Principal, Sarv Hitkari Vidya Mandir, Phagwara) and Mr. Harvant Singh (Principal, Modern Secular Public School, Malerkotla) saw the active participation of 60 teachers, with an emphasis on holistic student development.
Following this, BCM School hosted a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Program on "Inclusive Education" (June 4-5, 2025). Led by Mr. Gurbhej Singh Nagi Principal of Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana, and Mrs. Sunita Kumari, Principal of HVM Convent School, Ludhiana.This workshop aimed to equip educators with tools for building inclusive classrooms that support all students, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act. Interactive sessions facilitated practical application of learning.
The series concluded on June 6, 2025, with a Capacity Building Programme on the "National Curriculum Framework – Foundational Stage and Classroom Resources." Dr. Harpreet Kaur, esteemed panelist and Principal of Garden Valley International School, Machhiwara, and Ms. Harleen Rehal, Headmistress of Cambridge International School for Girls guided this session, offering insights into implementing the foundational stage curriculum through collaborative group activities.
Principal D.P. Guleria extended his sincere gratitude to the resource persons and CBSE for the impactful training. He emphasized the vital role of ongoing professional development in improving education. The workshops, lauded for their practical relevance and inspiring delivery, fostered a collective commitment among educators to champion empathy, inclusivity, and equitable learning for all students.
