World Heritage Day was celebrated at BCM School, Chandigarh Road, on April 18, 2026, with great enthusiasm and active participation. The objective of the celebration was to create awareness among students about India’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of preserving it.
Teachers introduced the concepts of heritage and culture in a simple, engaging manner, making them easy for young learners to understand. Informative videos were screened in the panel rooms, helping students explore the diversity of Indian traditions and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
A variety of activities were organized to instil a sense of pride and responsibility among students. These included a role play on “Monuments of India,” a video presentation on India’s heritage, Quiz competition on the seven wonders of the world and a collage-making competition based on themes reflecting cultural heritage.
